Restart 2012-Apr-02

Desert Roses (10) from my garden this weekend.
NO edit done.

Now see....my illustration challenge.
. So this is my first post to the Illustration Friday. It's very exciting as I start my personal challenge to post an illustration every week for a year. [click that line to view] Your thoughts and critiques are most welcome!
Yesterday was a lazy day, sleeping late...surfing the web, late jaunt to the grocery with a few photo stops on the way home. thinking about the family and the distance both physical and emotional that has unfortunately grown between us. my deep and saddening thought was....the next funeral that reunites us, well simply put, one of us won't be there. so i sent the flowers to all of them and a few good friends too. as a Happy Desert Rose Monday! not a peep of a response from Andy nor Phil. Mags said thanks and Pabs said they were "fanstatic". hehehehe. Hopefully Mags's and my trip to UK this autumn on the way from India will help rekindle the bond.
Today was only a one (1) banana day as there were only two or three idiot drivers on the road i.e. stopping in the middle of the road to chat, no rear lights what so ever, side mirrors folded in to look cool. cars soooo low they have to drive at 2 mph on these potholed roads with gi-ormous unnecessary speed bumps...disappointing really, as you know, i LOVE bananas!

  1. Hello Michele, welcome to Illustration Friday! I have only been doing it for a couple of weeks and already feel inspired. What a wonderful place to live! We love bananas to but they are like gold here. I live in the desert and we have one little general store with stock that is dependent on what random things the weekly delivery truck might bring...and if it rains it won't come at all. I love your desert roses. They remind me of my mum who is very green fingered!
